The ezWorkFlow enterprise application offers tailored data entry workflows, transforming the iPad into a versatile and user-friendly kiosk interface. Designed to facilitate mobile check-in and registration, the application presents dynamic screens utilizing native iOS UI controls and web-compatible content for seamless user interaction. Its high level of configurability allows healthcare providers to customize workflows according to their specific operational requirements.

The platform supports secure integration hardware such as Lilitab's enclosures (http://www.lilitab.com) and encrypted card readers (http://www.lilitab.com/products/liliswipe-magnetic-stripe-reader). Users can identify themselves via swiping driver’s or state-issued IDs and process payments through credit card swipes. Recent versions support MagTek's eDynamo card readers starting from app version 1.7.6.

The system features autosuggestion functionality in text fields, data validation, input formatting (e.g., auto-filling city and state based on ZIP/postal codes), and calculations derived from other entered data. Custom data entry forms utilizing web-friendly HTML or PDF formats—such as HIPAA consents—can be signed electronically, converted into PDFs, and securely uploaded to servers.

The application supports multimedia content playback—including audio messages and videos—to assist users during data entry. Compatibility extends across various web media formats like PDFs and HTML pages, as well as multimedia files such as MP4 videos.

Designed to optimize display quality, ezWorkFlow can manage multiple window displays, including pop-ups, error messages, or launching other applications or Flash content. An idle timer feature resets the kiosk to its home screen automatically when users walk away, ensuring readiness for subsequent visitors.

User customization options include printing via AirPrint-enabled printers, adjusting color schemes, selecting preferred languages, and accessing live online chat support for assistance. The application also allows capturing photos and videos using the iPad’s camera feature.

All user-entered data is periodically saved every N seconds via secure web service transmission to the server, reducing data loss risk. Administrators can monitor kiosk activity remotely through a web-based dashboard that provides insights into user interactions, power status, and validation errors.
